Seven Naga MLAs of manipur Legislative Assembly have jointly submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister of india urging Dr Manmohan Singh to work out an amicable and honourable solution acceptable to both the government of India and the NSCN (IM) during the ongoing talk.
"being the representatives of the people, we are conveying the wishes of the people who are eagerly awaiting a solution as it will enable the political process to be speeded-up at the grassroots level and end uncertainties in the day to day live of the people at large," the joint memorandum highlighted.
While welcoming the initiative of the Prime Minister in inviting leaders of the NSCN (IM) once again for continuing the Indo-Naga peace talk and extending best wishes to both sides for the joint effort to bring an amicable solution to the decades old Naga political problem, the MLAs also urged Dr Manmohan to take into account similar sentiments expressed in the memorandum of Naga parliamentarian and MLAs from Manipur on July 13 and August 2007 .
The representation was jointly submitted by MLAs Morung Makunga, Dr Khashim ruivah, Awangbou Newmai, Wungnaoshang keishing, K Raina, Danny Shaiza and M Thohrii.
A copy each of the memorandum has also been submitted to the UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Home Minister P Chidambaram.
