Superplate: PTCC extend lead as RCA crush FORCE

PTCC stayed four points clear at the top of Group A table after their dominant win against KSDO as RCA made light work of FORCE in other Group A match in the MNCA Superplate Tournament on Wednesday.
PTCC comfortably beat KSDO by 62 runs.
It was their sixth straight win that kept them at the top of Group A standings with 12 points, four points ahead of second-placed KSDO.
The Patsoi side scored 188/8 in their 40 overs after being put in to bat.
Key contributors in their innings were Sogail Akram (40 not out), Yambem Kaikuyamba (36), Shapam Kenjit (34), Mangshatabam Veekash (20) and Hijam Hemachandra.
Mohammed Shamir Khan, who scalped three wickets, was the pick of the bowlers for KSDO as Tarique Ali, Shajahan, Shah Nawaz and Md Arif Khan took one apiece.
It was a disciplined bowling performance that helped PTCC skittle out KSDO for 126 in 33.4 overs for their convincing victory.
Dominic Moirangthem did the major damage to the KSDO batting lineup with a haul of three wickets while Shapam Kenjit claimed two, with Sohail Akram, Naorem Victor Sadananda and Paonam Champion taking one each for their team.
The batters who managed to score in double digits in KS-DO's run chase were YM Anish Khan (21), Abdul Rafique (15), Tarique Aziz (13), Nawaz Sharif (11) and Shajahan (10 not out).
Shapam Kenjit was named the man of the match.
RCA, meanwhile, overpowered FORCE by eight wickets in another Group A match.
Electing to field, RCA bundled out their opponents in 21.4 overs for 78 with efforts by Bm Sabakhan and MD Danish Khan who ripped apart FORCE'S batting order, racking up four wickets each.
Aziz and Naesh Hussain chipped in with one wicket apiece.
RCA then chased down the target in 12.4 overs with contributions from Aziz Mirza (28), Syed Hussain (26 not out) and Afjal Khan (25).In the process, RCA lost two wickets to Mushir Alam.
Bm Sabakhan earned the man of the match accolade.
