2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament : PCC remain in hunt for quarter finals, AKSDO qualify for quarters

AKSDO-Khangabok cruised to second Group D to seal a place in the quarter finals of the 2nd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament as PCC-Mayai Koibi capped their Group B campaign with 3 wins to remain in contention for the quarter final berth with SHADOW-Thangmeiband.
At PTRC Ground, AKSDO defeated RULE-Meitram by 179 runs for the second straight victory riding on Laishram Paikhomba's 6 wicket haul.
AKSDO were all out for 258 runs in 28.4 as they were offered 85 extras besides Saikhom Dinesh hitting a 28-ball 53 and Borish Khundrakpam 35 and Chingamba Elangbam 25 making their contributions.

Indrakumar Sanjenbam of RULE however managed to break the backbone of the AKSDO snaring four crucial wickets for 15 runs in his spell of 6 overs as Sanathoi Sanjenbam and Konthoujam Sanjit picked two wickets each.
In reply, RULE batters except for Sanathoi Sanjenbam (11) and Indrakumar Sanjenbam (27) departed very cheaply or on ducks with Paikhomba Laishram wreaking havoc and claiming 6 wickets to them out for 79 runs in 19.3 overs.
Bidyananda also fetched two wickets while Avinash Waikhom managed one wicket.
Eventually Paikhomba was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at PCC Ground Mayaikoibi, PCC thumped SDC-Laipham Khunou by 8 wickets as they held SDC who opted to bat first for 129 runs for 9 in allotted 30 overs and chased down the target in 10 overs courtesy an unbeaten 73 from Lucky Thokchom and Parvin Kumar's 25-ball 45 .
Maibam Napolian scored the highest 61 runs off 51 balls for SDC as Parvin Kumar (2/11) and Lamnganba Nongmaithem (2/29) led the economical bowling of PCC.
The win helped PCC stay second in the Group B table with 6 points from 4 matches and remained in hunt for the quarter finals along with SHADOW who had won twice in three matches.
Pravin Kumar who produced an all-round performance was adjudged man of the match.
