This animal eats fruits, insects and other small animals and helps in seed dispersal and reduction of pests.
On the other hand, PFA Manipur further informed that the snake Checkered Keelback locally known as Lilabob rescued from the campus of Waikhom Mani Girls' College, Thoubal last week has started laying eggs.
Since special care is needed during this period of this particular snake species, it will be kept at PFA animal shelter until the eggs are hatched by setting up a comfortable environment for the snake.
