District Level Jai Bharat Satyagraha Sabha conducted

As part of the nation-wide Jai Bharat Satyagraha launched by All India Congress Committee (AICC), City District Congress Committee today organised a District Level Jai Bharat Satyagraha Sabhat at Uripok Bachaspati Leikai, Imphal to protest the erroneous conviction and disqualification of INC leader Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking to media persons, Vidyapati Senjam, vice president Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), stated that the Jai Bharat Satyagraha Sabha carried out by the Congress party is not against any individual (s) .
"It is a movement to save the declining democracy and fight the oppressive rule of the BJP Government", said Vidyapati while conveying his concern over the growing tendency of stifling Freedom of Speech and Expression by the Government.

He asserted that it is high time for the public and all stakeholders to come together and fight against oppression and save democracy from declining further.
Vidyapati also deliberated on political, legal, democratic and contemporary issues by highlighting the alleged link between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Gautam Adani in promoting crony capitalism.
M Ranjit Singh, general secretary MPCC; L Chandrakumar Singh, secretary MPCC; N Jayentakumar, S Johny Meitei, Ramprakash and other Congress leaders took part in the meeting.
Similarly, Imphal West I District Congress Committee also organised a District Level Jai Bharat Satyagraha Sabha at Awang Jiri.
It was attended by Dr Th Meinya Singh, ex-MP Inner Manipur Lok Sabha; N Biren Singh, former Minister; L Nando Singh, chairman Kishan Congress; and H Ibotombi Singh, vice president Imphal West DCC among others.
As part of the Sabha, Congress party workers also made a human chain and shouted slogans against the dictatorship of BJP.
Placards with the writing such as, "We Stand with Rahul Gandhi", "Congress party stands against capitalism", "Congress stands for poor and common man", "Don't protect Adani under the grab of Nationalism", etc.
