KSDO, ESU cruise to fourth wins in 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament

KSDO-Kiyamgei regained Group A pole position with a 7-wicket win over RCA-Lilong for the fourth win today in the ongoing 2nd MNCA Superplate Tournament as ESU-Wangkhei Palace Compound beat KASC-Khomidok by 49 runs in a Group B match.
At Kongba Khunou Dhobi Lampak, KSDO whose three game winning run was broken with a loss to FORCE in their previous match, chased down a target of 202 runs set up by RCA at the cost of 3 wickets.
RCA who opted to bat first saw Afjal hit a ton (109 off 105 balls, 12 fours and 4 sixes) and Syed Hussain adding 37 runs off 40 balls before being bowled out for 201 runs in 36.2 overs.

Shajahan of KSDO enjoyed a three wicket haul (3/21 in 8 overs) as Tarique Aziz (2/53) picked two wickets and Lakimbur, Md Shamir Khan and Sangomshumpham Shah Nawaz claimed a wicket each to set up the gradual collapse of RCA.
In reply, Tarique Aziz (63 off 66 balls; 8 fours, 1 sixes) and Reehaj (53 off 41 balls, 6 fours and 3 sixes) set up the initial momentum before Adbul Rafique (36 off 43 balls, 4 fours) and Md Shamir Khan (15 off 10 balls, 3 fours) guided KSDO to winning 202 .
Syed Hussain of RCA claimed two wickets as Md Iliyas Khan claimed one.
Tarique Aziz of KSDO who produced an all-round performance was adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at Khangabok Part III Cherapur Public Ground, ESU rode on Oliver Keit's 53-ball 64 to post a huge total of 248 runs for 8 wickets and held KASC to 199 for 9 for the fourth Group B victory in five matches.
Sanatomba (31), M Bimananda (24), Keithellak-pam Poirei (27) and Hemchand Yumkham (37 not out) also managed significant scores for ESU after winning the toss and opting to bat first.
Md Arif of KASC starred with a three wicket haul (3/48) in ESU's innings as his teammate Md Babu managed two wickets.
Qurshid Alam, Md Javed Aktar and Md Farijuddin also picked up a wicket each.
In the chase, Md Farijuddin scored a 47-ball 50 and Md Ali Karim (27), Md Sharif Khan (25) and Md Babu (28 not out) put in a brave effort but fell could muster a total of 199 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
Sanatomba led ESU's bowling attack and returned with best figures of 3/24 in 4 overs while Hemchand Yumkham snapped twice and four others claimed a wicket apiece.
Sanatomba of ESU who had added 31 runs and picked three wickets was adjudged man of the match.
