Thoubal, April 16 2023:
Thoubal Apunba Lup (TAL) launched a drive to check the ILP documents of non-locals living in rented houses in the surrounding regions of Thoubal District Head Quarter.
Today's ILP drive was led by W Romeswor, president, TAL and AK Jivan Kumar, general secretary, TAL.
The team checked ILP documents of roughly 150 non-local residents of Thoubal Melaground.
Among them, two employed at a bakery were found with permits whose validity had expired.
The TAL team has submitted a written application to the district authority to take up strict action against the two.

Speaking in this connection, AK Jivan told media persons that the drive was carried out in support of the District Administration's undertakings to ensure that non-locals in the area adhere to ILP guidelines.
He also advised landlords to check the ILP documents of non-locals staying at their rented accommodations.
"If they need additional documents please ensure that they are procured", he urged.
It may be noted TAL is the apex body of many registered organizations in the Thoubal Municipality area.
