Imphal, April 16 2023:
The Manipur Government Services' Federation has suspended its proposed cease-work in view of rising Covid cases.
The federation had earlier cautioned that it may launch cease-work a strike from Monday, April 17 .
The decision to temporarily postpone the strike was taken during an emergency meeting held yesterday, said MGSF in a statement today.
Notably, the MGSF under the All India State Government Employees' Federation has been demanding the Government to--annul the NPS (New Pension Scheme), restore the OPS (Old Pension Scheme), regularize all contract/outsource/daily waged employees, constitution of 8th Central Pay Commission, fill up vacancies in the Central and State Government and PSUs, release of all DA/DR including 'confiscated' arrears, remove all riders and restrictions on compassionate employment and ensure democratic trade union rights.
