The lease agreement was formally signed in the presence of YAS Director T Phulen representing YAS Directorate; Finance Officer, Paarithoi as witness and MNCA secretary, L Ronel Singh and vice president L Gitaranjan representing the association at YAS Directorate office at Khuman Lampak.

The development came after the State Government directed YAS to do the needful in the wake of State's growing cricketing activities and momentous achievement of State Senior team reaching Ranji Trophy Plate Group final recently, said YAS Director while speaking to media persons after signing the lease agreement.
The multi-sports complex has been equipped with flood light and all efforts are being put in to make it fully operational within next month (March), he said.
To mark the launch of floodlight-equipped stadium, the State is planning to invite former Indian star cricketers for a promotional match, he added.
While maintaining that Manipur Cricket Association should not hand over the stadium to any third party during the lease period, he also said that the Directorate of YAS will be observing every development at the stadium closely.
MNCA should take approval from YAS Directorate while bringing up any structural and additional developmental chances as per the terms listed in the signed agreement, he said.
Adding that agreement may not be further extended if the association fails to work in line with the agreed terms, he said that the YAS Directorate is leasing out the stadium to MNCA on a very nominal rental charge.
