SDSA, TAJ condemn torching of excavator at Senapati

Senapati District Students' Association (SDSA) and Thangal Students' Union (TAJ) vehemently condemned the torching of land mover (excavator) at HIT, M Ningthoupham campus in Senapati district.
In a statement, SDSA condemned the irresponsible act and remarked that such ill practices are not signs of a progressive society but would rather tarnish the image of the district and undermine educational developmental project of law abiding citizens.
The students' association expressed regrets and reaf firmed its full cooperation to the district authority in nabbing the culprits.
SDSA also appealed to the public to refrain from carrying out any anti-social activities in future and cultivate the spirit of "peace and sustainable development".
Similar, Thangal Students' Union (TAJ) denounced the heinous act of torching the excavator (Poclain) by unknown miscreants at HIT campus.
The Information and Publicity Wing of the union stated that developmental activities are hard earned when it comes to hill areas of Manipur and even more so in Thangal inhabited areas.
The HIT project, which was bestowed under the able leadership of chief minister N Biren, is a blessing for the district in general and the Thangal people in particular, TAJ said and appealed to the local populace to support, encourage and walk the developmental path together to bring progress and harmony in the area.
Therefore, such anti-social activities portray utter disrespect towards the people of the land and its effort towards development and progress, it maintained and appealed to the law enforcement officials to trace and book the offend er(s) at the earliest.
