Student bodies call for free and fair conduct of board exams

Many extended best wishes to the students who are set to appear in the upcoming Class X, XI andXII board exams.
It may be noted that the Class XII exams conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) will begin from tomorrow (February 23) while the Class XI exams is scheduled to begin from February 24 and the Class X exams conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) is slated to begin from March 16 .
Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) while extending best wishes to the students who will appear in the upcoming board exams conducted by COHSEM and BOSEM and who are appearing the Class X and XII exams conducted by CBSE appealed to the students to give their exams sincerely with utmost dedication to achieve the desired result.
A press note by the DESAM Secretary Education and Academic Affairs informed that special teams including flying squads will be formed and these teams of DESAM will carry out inspection visits across the various examination centres in the State to check that the exams are conducted in a smooth and fair manner.
Further the student body appealed to the officials concerned to deliver their duties diligently adhering to rules and regulations laid by the competent authorities in the interest of the student community.
Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) also extended best wishes to the students who will be appearing in the Class XII exams by COHSEM and urged them not to use any form of unfair means in the said exams.
KSA in a press note further appealed to the invigilators and officials concerned of the exam centres so as the exams are held successfully.
To ensure that these exams are conducted without any form of hindrances, KSA appealed to all to refrain from calling bandhs, blockades etc during the exams.
Pangal Students Organisation (PSO), Manipur too extended best wishes to the students and prayed that the students may pass these exams with flying colours.
The student body also urged the parents and all concerned to refrain from resorting to unfair means during the exams.
