CDC clinch Plate Tournament title

Imphal, August 25 2022:
CDC (Sagolband) beat UCC (Uripok) by three wickets to win the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament 2021-22 at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium on Thursday.
Electing to bat, UCC were bowled out for 206 in the stipulated 40 overs.
In their innings, Haobam Ajitkumar (50), Thangjam Anson (47) and Roshan Das (21) were the main run-getters.
Mutum Jodiba picked up two three wickets, Geerish Kangabam claimed two, and Khursid Alam and Kshetrimayum Robert chipped in with one apiece for CDC.
The Sagolband side then took 38.5 overs to achieve the target with three wickets to spare.
Kshetrimayum Robert led the chase with 53 and Pri yojit Narengbam did his bit with 41 .
Md Ataur Rahaman (27), Thounaojam Rakesh (17), Viking Salam (13 not out), Mutum Jodiba (8) and Salam Pinky Singh (4) were other contributors in their title triumph.
For UCC, Konsam Gulson and Thokchom Yoihenba snapped two wickets each while Shyam Kumar Ray, Arnold Leishangthem and Roshan Das took one each.
In addition to their winners' trophy, CDC scooped all the individual prizes on offer in the tournament as Mutum Jodiba walked away with both man of the series and highest wicket-taker awards, Narengbam Priyojit was adjudged highest run scorer, and Kshetrimayum Robert earned the man of the final match accolade.
Champions CDC pocketed Rs 1,00,000 in prize money while runners-up UCC were given Rs 70,000 .
