JAC resolves to launch agitation

A particular JAC based in Kwakta has resolved to launch a series of agitations including bandh if the State Government doesn't take up prompt actions to find the missing construction worker from Kwakta Charangpat by August 30 .
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, wife of the missing construction worker Md Achouba (42), Ibem Bibi said that her husband has been working at Ukhrul since the last 3-4 years.
Saying that Md Achouba went to Huishu Village in Ukhrul on July 14 last again to construct a water supply, Bibi continued that her husband called her last on August 12 at around 9.30 am and informed her that he was at Kalhang Village in Ukhrul and was preparing to take Rs 20,000 for the project at Huishu Village from Ukhrul Town.
Bibi also said that Achouba spoke of hiring certain workers from Kwakta to construct a Church at Kalhang Village during the last conversation with her.
Claiming that his phone went off after the conversation, Bibi said that her family members went to Kalhang Village on August 16 but Md Achouba was nowhere to be found.
"We have registered a missing report at Ukhrul police station, '' she said and appealed to the State Government and CSOs in both the hill and valley districts in tracing her husband.
Convenor of the JAC Zaya Khan said that they will launch different agitations if their demand is not entertained.
