Manipur Pradesh Trinamool Congress would work to forge alliance with like minded political parties working in the interest of Manipur, stated TC Manipur Pradesh president Kim Gangte.
Speaking to media persons at their office at Hotel Excellency today, Kim Gangte said political activities of the party have begun from district level.
She said that the party would contest in all levels of elections which may be held in Manipur.
Incidentally, a written intimation sent by All India Trinamool Congress general secretary Mukul Roy on August 3 declared former Chief Minister RK Dorendra as chairman of the party and Kim Gangte as president.
Spelling out her party's agenda, the former MP listed repeal of AFSPA from Manipur, addressing the problem of food shortage and extension of concession to students and sportspersons by opening railway counter at Imphal.
The party would be special attention to obtaining economic advantage from Look East Policy and the free trade regime while at the same time working to uphold the identity of Manipuri nation.
The party would also stand against amassing land by landlords and take up necessary measures against possible exploitation of women.
