A three day photo exhibition opened yesterday at Tribal Research Centre, Chingmeirong under the joint aegis of the Election Commission of India and the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) is continuing successfully.
Speaking to media persons today about the photo exhibition being held under the theme 'India and Election', DAVP Deputy Director Kishan Ratnani said that the exhibition is aimed at informing the public about the process of elections conducted in democratic India during the last 60 years.
The ongoing exhibition is the fourth of its kind in North East India.
Altogether 33 panels��25 belonging to the ECI and eight belonging to the State, comprising of 136 photographs showing different scenes and procedures of elections are being displayed at the exhibition.
So far, 300 people led by Governor Gurbachan Jagat and MP Dr T Meinya have visited the exhibition.
