Against the backdrop of the reported propaganda propagated by the Govt of India that the Kamatapur Liberation Organisation (KLO) chairman Jiban Singha Kocha had stolen the Nobel Prize medal of Rabindranath Tagore, now he is ill and he will surrender, the KLO clarified that its chairman Jiban Singh Kocha is not a thief and has not died.
"Jiban Kocha is physically strong and mentally resolute to continue the 'national liberation struggle' till death," a statement issued to the press by the KLO said.

The KLO chairman has also called upon the Kamatapuri people not to get swayed by false propaganda and rumour.
The outfit also said that Kamatapur has never been a part of post Independent India either by conquest or by choice.
Even during the British rule in the subcontinent, Kamatapur was not annexed to British Indian territory and remained as an indirectly ruled native kingdom till 1949 .
