Free heart camp
Manipur Heart Foundation (MHF) in association with SKY Hospital and Research Centre, RIMS Road, Imphal West and Heibimakhong Development Club organised a one-day free heart screening camp today from 9am to 5 pm at Bengoon Makha Mayang Imphal, Imphal West.
According to a statement, a total of 108 patients attended the camp.
52 patients were given free ECG and free blood sugar test.
Houses swept away
Some houses along Jiri river have been swept away after Jiri river bank breached at Gularthon, reports our correspondent.
Social worker S Sarat Kumar Singh said houses loacted along the river bank have been affected while some have been swept away due to breach in the river embankment.
He also urged the authority concerned to extend immediate assistance to the affected families.
LACA lauds
The Longmai Area Consumers' Association has lauded MSPCDL for providing power supply to villagers of Longmai.
The association also conveyed gratitude to the Khullakpa of Kotlen village for his assistance and co-operation in supplying electricity to the villagers who have been experiencing power cut for more than two weeks.
Mishap victim succumbs
A woman who was undergoing treatment after she was knocked down by a motorcycle has succumbed to the injuries.
The deceased identified as Thokchom (O) Yumshangbi (62) w/o Iboyaima of Kyamgei Mayai Leikai was knocked down by a motorcycle (Yamaha FZ) near her residential gate at around 10.30 am of October 7 .
She was undergoing treatment at Shija Hospital but she succumbed to the injuries this morning.
The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at JNIMS.
Body disposed
Body of a man who died in male surgery ward of RIMS and whose identity could not be established has been disposed off today.
The man was brought to RIMS by some unidentified persons for treatment but he died on October 5 .
Post mortem examination of the corpse was conducted yesterday.
