Snake bite victim saved

The medical team of 12 Bihar of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) saved life of a snake bite victim yesterday.
The victim namely Hirom Yumjaoloi Leima (53) of Kongba in Imphal East district.
She was brought to the medical room of 12 Bihar in a critical condition after she was bitten by a snake, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
The victim was attended by the medical team and necessary first aid and anti snake bite venom injections were administered.
In another initiative, 20 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised an informative lecture to spread awareness regarding treatment of snake bite at Kongba today, added the press release.
The villagers were made aware about the anti-venom medicines of snake bite which are primarily used for the treatment of victim of snake bite.
The lecture was conducted by Senior Medical officer and his team of 20 Assam Rifles.
Locals were apprised about the nearest medical facilities available in civil as well as in Assam Rifles in emergency.
