Effigies of Principal, Education (U) Director burned

The members of the striking LMS Law College Students' Union on Friday burned effigies of the institute's Principal and the Education (U) Director and threatened to boycott the scheduled final exam to be held on June 3.The union has demanded that the union's election should precede the June 3 exam.
But the college authorities have indefinitely deferred the scrutiny of the nomination papers of the of candidates, which was supposed to be conducted on May 26, for the election to be held on May 30 .
The union said the college authorities have not spelt out the reason behind it.
Protesting against the postponement of the pening scrutiny process, members of the student body burned effigies of the Principal and that of the Education (U) Director on the college campus.
Union president N Kapilchandra told media persons that the scrutiny should be conducted before June 3 and that the final exam should also be held as per the schedule.
