Financial literacy cum Account opening under PMJJY, PMSBY held

A one day financial literacy awareness camp cum account opening camp under Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana was held at Tera Bazar.
The Programme was organised under the aegis of Vijya Bank Thangal Bazar, the function was attended by BJP Mahila Morcha national vice president A Sarda, State BJP VP S Sheityabhama, former Mahila Morcha president RK Shantirani and officials of Vijya Bank.
Forms for three social security schemes Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana were also distributed to the people during the event.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP Mahila Morcha national vice president A Sarda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated to the Nation three social security schemes called Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) on May 9 this year.
Claiming that Narendra Modi led BJP Government at the centre as pro-poor and pro-farmer, she said that the government introduced the three social security schemes for the welfare of the marginalized section in the country.
People should take benefit of the scheme as far as practicable, she said.
These schemes offer Insurance and Pension cover to all persons who have a savings bank AC with any bank in India, at very low rates of annual premium/contribution.
With premium of Rs 12.00 pa only PMSBY covers accidental death and total disability with an Insurance of Rs 2.00 lakh and partial disability Insurance of Rs 1.00 lakh.
PMJJBY offers Life Insurance cover upto Rs 2.00 lakh for an annual premium of Rs 330.00 pa, she said.
APY is essentially targeted towards providing monthly income to people in the unorganized sector when they are no longer earning, with monthly pensions of Rs 1000.00 to Rs 5000.00 depending upon their contribution and age of entry into the scheme.
Forms for PMSBY and PMJJBY are available at all branches of State Bank of India, and other banks and any person having a bank account can join the schemes by filling up and submitting the simple application form to his nearest branch.
Payment of the annual premium will be effected by auto debit to Bank Account of the applicant.
SBI, with its deep penetration across the nation and the NE States will be the leading implementing agency for the above schemes.
Enrolment into the schemes is available through Customer Service Points (CSPs) also.
