MLA RK Anand today inspected various developmental projects undertaken in Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC of Imphal West district.

Speaking to reporters on the sideline of the inspection, RK Anand said that the Kwakeithel-Ningthemcha Karong road has been upgraded to major district road (MDR) .
The road was constructed under PMGSY in 2002.The PWD had also renovated the road after that.
However, the public conceived that the road, which is in the adjoining area of Naoriya Pakhanglakpa and Keishamthong ACs, has been neglected due to its dilapidated state, he said.
As such, the road will be repaired soon with the MLA LADF or through any scheme, Anand said.
He also expressed optimism that the Govt would sanction fund for the renovation of the road as it is now upgraded to MDR.
He also visited Ningombam where many displaced villagers of Kodompokpi and Malom areas due to the expansion of the airport are relocated.
Black-topping of about two kilometres stretch of the approach road to the settlement area has been already completed.
Power connection to the place will be completed within a few days.
Construction of borewell is in progress, the MLA said.
Construction of a primary school is completed, MLA Anand said while adding that such developmental projects in the area are possible due to the personal intervention of CM O Ibobi.
Tree saplings will be planted around the area in consultation with the Forest Dept, he added.
MLA Anand also said that water begins to flow along the Waisel Maril after 10 kms stretch of the waterway has been cleaned.
He also said that construction of District Vety hospital at Mekola will be complete soon after sanctioning some funds.
