Imphal, March 08 2013:
The proscribed PREPAK (Pro) has greeted all womenfolk of the planet on the occasion of International Women's Day.
It was the magnanimous spirit and valour of Manipuri women which kept Kangleipak as an independent Nation for thousands of years, remarked a statement issued by the outfit's publicity and propaganda assistant secretary Sunil M .
Under the Lallup system, when the men went to defend the kingdom, it was the Manipuri women who instilled indomitable spirit in their sons and husbands.
When men were away at distant places, it was women who looked after the family's economy and other responsibilities.
Even today, women are at the forefront of many economic activities.
That is why, Manipuri women enjoy a lofty position in the society.
While many countries perished because women were not given their rightful place in the society, many other Nations were able to make giant strides on the path of development and progress because women could influence the societies on the right direction.
But today, Kangleipak, in addition to being subordinate to India, is full of timid men who cannot determine their own destiny.
At the same time, the Government of India has been employing all kinds of inhuman strategies to suppress the handful of revolutionary cadres who are determined to win back the lost sovereignty of Kangleipak, it alleged.
Rather than fighting back these atrocities like a man, many men have been shouting and protesting meekly against excesses committed by the Indian military and the black laws imposed in the State.
As long as there is liberation movement, India would employ one strategy or another to subdue the same movement.
The atrocities and harassment are results of the conflict between India which is bent on keeping Kangleipak under their occupation and the revolutionary groups which are determined to restore the lost sovereignty.
The lost sovereignty must be won back through testing struggle by men, not by womenfolk.
It is the duty of men to fight the war of liberation and drive back all the Indian military.
Meanwhile, crime and violence against women have been rising alarmingly.
Some women have fallen on the wrong path because Kangleipak is currently under alien rule, it alleged.
The situation of Kangleipak would only aggravate if it continues to live under the alien rule.
To save the womenfolk of the land, it is crucial to win back the lost sovereignty of Manipur, it added.
