Hospitality training Institute inaugurated

A training institute, Classic Hospitality Training Institute has been inaugurated today at Babina Diagnostic Building, RIMS Road under the aegis of the management of Babina Health Care and Hospitality Industry Pvt Ltd.
The inaugural function was graced by Parliamentary Secretary (Tourism and YAS), M Prithiviraj; Director of Education (S), H Deelip Singh; and Project Director of Manipur Skill Development Society, Hrishikesh Modak as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, Managing Director of Babina Health Care and Hospitality Industry Pvt Ltd, Dr Thangjam Dhabali said well experienced and qualified trainers would be engaged in giving training to the trainees at the institute.
He said the institute would debut with a three-month certificate course in hospitality.
Dr Dhaballi added that the Institute would later launch a one-year diploma course and three-year degree course in hospitality.
Parliamentary secretary, Prithiviraj said pursuing a career in hospitality would be well-timed while stressing on the need to spread awareness among school and college students on career avenue in hospitality.
Pointing out that all out efforts have been put to corporatise the Tourism department of the State, the Parliamentary Secretary said that the service of trained youth in hospitality would be in higher demand if and when the Tourism department is corporatised.
