SC Jamir to become new Odisha Governor

Former Nagaland chief minister SC Jamir is all set to become the Governor of Odisha (formerly Orissa) replacing incumbent Murlidhar Chandrakant Bhandare, whose tenure has expired few months ago.
According to sources, Dr SC Jamir who became the Governor of Goa in 2004 and then that of Maharashtra, was informed about the development by Union Home minister Sushilkumar Shinde two days ago.
Born on October 17,1931 to late Senayangba Jamir of Ungma village and Takatula of Mokokchung district, Dr SC Jamir is the five-times chief minister of Nagaland (though he could not complete most of the terms fully) since 1980 .
Meanwhile, it is not clear when Dr SC Jamir will join the office.
