Science Seminar held

The XXXV District Level Student's Science Seminar was held yesterday at DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati (H/Q) with the theme "Water Co-Operation: Issues and Challenges" .
The programme was officiated by SL Rangsong, Zonal Education Officer, Senapati.
The ZEO highlighted on the theme, referring to proper management of water.
He also added that water crisis is a global phenomena and as such the need to address the issue at various levels nationally and internationally through Government agencies and establishments arose.
In this backdrop there is the need for the district to also tackle the problem to the best capability.
The Seminar was also intended to embark an opportunity to jointly realize water related issue and challenge with concretes solution with other member nation of the global family.
The Seminar was participated by students of eight schools.
The active participation of the student was ensured by conducting competition on the said theme.
Each participant were rewarded a sum of Rs 400 each with participation Certificate.
The competition prizes were won by K Ngao Gloryson (Cl-X) and LH Lina (Cl-X), both from Bethany Hr Sec School, Senapati.
The duo will represent the district at The XXXV State Level Students Science Seminar 2013 slated to be held at Lamyanba Sanglen Palace Compound, Imphal on Sept 7 .
