It reported that one Hemanta Sharma of PREPAK purchased the third floor of a building located at Prince Anwar Shah Road under Jadavpur police station, Kolkata and he was running a private bank there before he was apprehended by a team of NIA.
However, PREPAK has refuted the same news report as false and baseless.
As of now, PREPAK has no policy of setting private banks outside or inside Kangleipak. The said Hemanta was earlier arrested in the name of another group.
By taking the name of PREPAK in connection with the arrest of Hemanta Sharma, NIA exposed its intention to project the outfit in wrong light and create confusion with the particular group in the name of which Hemanta was arrested earlier, it said.
