The Indian Embassy in Myanmar has sought the State Government's strategic plan, if it has any, for promotion of bilateral ties between Manipur and Myanmar's Saigang and Mandalay divisions in the field of education, medicine, tourism, culture and trade.
Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Gautam Mukho-padhyay took up this initiative after his recent visit to Imphal.
The Embassy sought the State Government's written intimation sent by Consul General Madan Mohan Shetty to Principal Secretary (Commerce and Industries) O Nabakishore.
It also asked detailed information and sites of industry, education (both Govt and private institutions), Govt and private medical institutions and tourism which the Govt of Manipur would like to promote in Myanmar.
On the other hand, a symposium and round-table meeting on ASEAN trade logistics and connectivity will be held at Bangkok from July 3 to 6 under the aegis of the Excellent Business Corporation International Ltd.
Prin- cipal Secy O Nabakishore will attend the round table meeting and the symposium.
