"Culture enhances our quality of life and increases overall well-being for both individuals and communities.
Our cultural identity influences how we interpret and react to situations, so we must become aware of our identity in relation to the world around us", she added.
While appreciating the leaders of SGAYO for organising the cultural meet, Nemcha Kipgen asserted that such an event will make the youths of Saitu Gamphazol aware about the importance of culture which helps to define their identity and shape their beliefs & values while helping them understand that culture is also a major part their heritage and provides a sense of belonging & connection to their past.
"Culture helps to create a sense of unity and shared purpose, and can be a source of great pride and inspiration" she added.
The Minister further reiterated her tireless campaign on the War on Drugs campaign and encouraged the people to not indulge in cultivating deadly poppy plants.
It may be mentioned that SGAYO along with United Saparmeina Youth Club had jointly embarked on cleaning the Imphal river as a part of the Government's initiative, "Clean Imphal River" campaign in October last year.
