"Meeyamgi Numit and Hill Leaders Day" held across State

District Administration Bishnupur today organised the widely acclaimed "Meeyamgi Numit" at Panchayat Resource Centre Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex in Bishnupur district.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram encouraged the public to freely express their concerns during the Meeyamgi Numit.
Informing that Meeyamgi Numit will be held on the 3rd Friday of every month, he urged the public to take this opportunity to highlight their concerns and avail the benefits of Government Schemes.
He also reiterated that Single Use Plastics (SUP) ban will be strictly enforced in the district from August onwards after the conclusion of a month-long awareness campaign.

Moreover, top performers for ePOS device usage among Fair Price Shop agents in the district under District Supply Office, CAF & PD, Bishnupur were also felicitated in appreciation of their contribution in scaling up device usage in the district.
It may be mentioned that for smooth functioning, better facilitation and co-ordination, a dedicated "Meeyamgi Numit" Cell had been constituted with H Bobby Sharma, MCS Additional DC as Coordinator and Ejaj Hassan, MCS, AC to DC, as Assistant Coordinator.
About 100 persons took part in the Meeyamgi Numit with necessary documents to appraise district authorities on their concerns and requirements.
CHANDEL
The first ever "District Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit" for Chandel District was launched today by Deputy Commissioner Chandel, Rajkumar Mayangalmbam at the Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat complex, Chandel.
In the event, the DC interacted with village leaders and discussed their issues one by one.
More than 22 applications of various issues related to developmental works and others were received for further necessary actions.
About 50 people were also administered Covid vaccine by the CMO team.
The Department of Tribal Affairs and Hills also distributed planting materials to the beneficiaries.
The programme was attended by ADC Chandel, Md Firoj Khan, SDOs, DLOs and other officials of the district.
SENAPATI
Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Senapati also launched "Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit" today at Multipurpose Hall, Mini Secretariat, Senapati.
At the event, Mahesh Chaudhari informed that the programme was launched successfully in the district under the guidance of Chief Minister N Biren Singh.
Stating that various grievances of the public were addressed at the event, he lauded the District Level Officers for their co-operation in opening their respective stalls.
The programme was attended by SDOs, DLOs, public leaders, village chairmen and secretaries.
TAMENGLONG
"Hill Leaders Day and Meeyamgi Numit" was also held at the old DC Complex, Tamenglong District Headquarters today.
It was attended by Pawan Yadav, IAS, DC Tamenglong; Ningreingam Leisan, ADM, CEO Tamenglong and Paul Nangsha, SDO Tamenglong as presidium members.
It may be noted that for smooth functioning and better facilitation and coordination of the programme, Ningreingam Leisan and Buiheimliu have been appointed as District Coordinator and Assistant Coordinator respectively.
THOUBAL
District Administration Thoubal today organised "Meeyamgi Numit" at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex.
At the event, DC Thoubal, A Subhash Singh, IAS, heard the grievances of the people and instructed the Department officials concerned for necessary action.
Around 117 written applications were received today with grievances related to CMHT card, Old Age Pension/Widow Pension and Agriculture. Superintendent of Police Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam, IPS; CMO Thoubal, Dr Y Nokul; Additional District Magistrate, Lokeshor Brahmacharimayum, all Sub- Divisional Officers, and other District Level Officers took part in the programme to address the grievances of the public.
