Imphal, July 15 2022:
People's Action for National Democratic Movement (PANDM) has demanded an 'action taken report' from the Government at the earliest regarding its complaint against the Chief Engineer in-charge of the Education Engineering Wing, Education Department (S) .
PANDM in a press release maintained that it has urged the Chief Minister, Education Minister and relevant authorities to suspend the incumbent Chief Engineer in-charge of the Education Engineering Wing, Education Department (S) claiming that he is ineligible for the post.
However the Government has turned a deaf ear to the demands of PANDM and no concrete measures have been taken up till date which implies that the Government is encouraging corrupt practices contradicting its claims of an 'Anti Corruption Government', alleged PANDM.
The release further mentioned that PANDM has even submitted a reminder regarding the matter to the Chief Minister and authorities concerned on July 12 last and also demanded for an action taken report but no form of response has been received which is really unfortunate.
PANDM also expressed concern on the issues which have erupted due to appointment of employees who had to retire on superannuation as the Head of Department by extending their service thereby violating the rights of those employees who are in line of promotion and who actually deserve the position.
Reaffirming its claims against the highly corrupt and unqualified Chief Engineer in-charge of the Education Engineering Wing, Education Department (S) who is responsible for many fraudulent practices, PANDM has appealed to the authorities concerned to act on its complaint and take up necessary actions at the earliest.
