PREPAK condoles

Imphal, August 20 2022: The proscribed PREPAK and its armed wing Red Army have condoled the demise of Major Sanju Oinam alias Pheijao alias Premjit alias Athouba.

According to a press release issued by the outfit's publicity and propaganda charge-de-affairs Leibaak-Ngaakpa Luwang, Major Sanju Oinam who was a member of the PREPAK Interim Council succumbed to an illness in a hospital at around 8.30 pm of August 18.Major Sanju Oinam was the eldest of six siblings bom to Oinam Saratchandra Meitei and Oinam (O) Sanahanbi Leima of Hao-bam Marak Irom Leikai.

He was bom on April 16, 1976 .

He completed High School education from Regular English School, Kwakeithel Heinou Khongnembi before studying Pharmacology at Patna, Bihar.

Sanju also loved games and sports and received Blue Belt in Karate.

He won many medals at the State and National level competitions.

He also served as an executive member of the Naharol Yaifa Lamjing Koi Club, Haobam Marak Irom Leikai.

Sanju started working for the party since 1994 as an overground supporter.

He was arrested by police commandos in July 1995 and imprisoned for 14 months under NSA.

After coming out from prison, he again started working for the party.

Sanju was arrested for the second time in December 1996 and imprisoned for eight months.

He was arrested for the third time in November 1997 and imprisoned for five months.

In between, he was arrested twice but released on bail, the outfit said.

Sanju left home and completed the basic military training of the Red Army in July 2003.Sanju accomplished many missions assigned to him by the 'authority' when he was with the Red Army and he always behaved with strict discipline.

He also served as the Publicity Officer of the outfit's Department of Publicity and Propaganda.

Major Sanju worked with many sub-committees of the CorCom like Financial Affairs Committee, Publicity Committee and Home Committee, LeibaakNgaakpa Luwang conveyed.

Saying that the demise of Major Sanju is a big loss for the outfit, it conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family, relatives and friends.

It further prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace in the Heavenly abode.
