State logs 13 new cases, active cases fall below 100

Imphal, August 20 2022:
The state on Saturday reported only 13 new positive cases from six districts out of 339 samples tested in the last 24 hours and registered 3.8 per cent positivity rate.
The 13 fresh cases (6 males & 7 females) are residents of Imphal West (1), Imphal East (4), Churachandpur (3), Bishnupur (2), Chandel (1) and Tamenglong (2) districts.
Saturday also reported 28 recoveries from home isolation (9), Shija Hospital (2), RIMS (1) and CAPF facility (1) while 15 are already discharged cases pending for update.
Meanwhile, number of active cases came down to 96, out of which 60 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Saturday.
The pandemic has claimed 2143 lives including seven CAPF personnel and infected 1,39,599 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 26 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 54 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 36 D-type and 8 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities while 786 vaccine doses were administered on Friday which took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,24,752, out of which 12,96,551 had received the second dose and 2,32,057 had taken the precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49745), Imphal East (32003), Thoubal (10285), Churachandpur (11241), Kangpokpi (3181), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9963), Senapati (2543), Ukhrul (3358), Kakching (6970); Chandel (2787), Noney (1172), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1051) and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (516), Thoubal (191), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (124), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5)
and Pherzawl (0) .
