"Education is our future security and without proper education, we will not be able to survive in this competitive world.
However, under the present political system in the State, there is no room for the tribals and Naga in particular.
Though India attained independence more than 60 years ago, not much of change can be seen in the North East region particularly in tribal areas.
As a result, we are lagging behind others in every aspect of development," Gaidon said.
Under the aegis of the UNC, alternative arrangement would be spearheaded for the development and recognition of the tribal people.
Tribals have to fight with unity so that its political aspiration and vision can be achieved, said the UNC president.
As part of the valedictory function, spectacular cultural dances, Lamkang modern songs were presented by different cultural troupes and artistes of Lamkang Artistes' Association.
Miss LKK contest would also be held during the evening programme.
