Training held for polling personnel of Kangpokpi district

Kangpokpi, February 16 2022:
Training for polling personnel for the three assembly constituencies of Kangpokpi district was conducted on Wednesday at the office of Kangpokpi deputy commissioner.
Returning officers namely - Bung-ba Maibam Khuman of Saikul (ST) AC, Laishram Manikanta Singh of Kangpokpi AC and Sapam Bishwojit Singh of Saitu (ST) AC attended the training as resource persons.
The polling personnel were enhanced with the knowledge of paper works, machineries and mobile apps to be used for the polls.
It was held after the second round of randomisation on February 12 in presence of the general observer.
Polling teams consisting of four personnel each - presiding officer, polling officers I, II and III were formed for deployment in the three assembly constituencies.
The first round of training was conducted on January 13-15 .
It may be mentioned that general observer Probhudutta David Pradhan, expenditure observer Manish Kumar Chavda and police observer Sarat Kaviraj have been assigned for the Kangpokpi district for the Assembly elections, 2022 scheduled to be held on February 28 and March 5 .
Altogether 17 candidates - eight from Saikul (ST), three from Kangpokpi and six from the Saitu (ST) assembly constituencies are in the fray.
