Road inundated without rainfall

Imphal, March 03 2022:
Two most important and congested roads that run in Imphal City have been inundated through there has been no recent rainfall in the state.
The roads at MG Avenue, Thangal Bazar and Dharamasala are waterlogged with overflowing water from drains thereby caused inconveniences to the public.
Due to poor drainage system, drain water has been accumulated for a long time on the road surface near HDFC Imphal Branch, MG Avenue.
The area has been waterlogged for a long time without rainfall as the government failed to de-clog the drain.
Though the roads and bylanes in and around MG Avenue were black topped recently, the flooded part has never been repaired.
Similarly, the road at Dharmasala and on the side of Bhairodan Maxwell Hindi High School is also accumulating drain water for a long time.
The authorities concerned never repaired the area which is flooded but instead black-topped the roads which are in good shape.
