Refrain from spreading false information: KNO/KRA

Discontent with the allegations portraying Mangboilal Lhouvum as a cadre of Kuki Revolutionary Army after clear clarifications, the outfit warned of taking appropriate action against anyone found spreading the wrong information.
The outfit Information and Publicity secretary, T Simte said that on June 4 evening, one Mangboilal Lhouvum, a resident of Chalwa village was allegedly shot dead by Major Alok Sathe, the post commander of 44 AR 'E' Coy, Banglabung Gelnel village outpost.
He continued that in connection with the incident, social media and even some reputed TV channels based at Imphal have been floated with accusations of the deceased Mangboilal Lhouvum being the new Finance Secretary of KRA in-charge of the area.
He also pointed out that considering the viral accusations, a pellucid clarification was made immediately to avoid misconception and illusion but unfortunately the deceased Mangboilal Lhouvum was morphed in combat dress and the false allegation continued to spread.
'It was now confirmed that the false allegation spreading like a wildlife is purely executed to tarnish the hard earned reputed image of the organization and defame the deceased's family', he added.
He further said that KNO/ KRA once again appealed to every individual to refrain from spreading all kinds of false information without cross checking the actual facts in the future.
The KNO/KRA also appreciated the Kuki Inpi Kangpokpi and various other civil society organizations apart from various other like minded individuals who took the initiatives in bringing justice to the innocent Mangboilal Lhouvum and his family.
Meanwhile, the KNO/KRA also stated that it had signed the Suspension of Operations with the Government of Manipur and the Government of India on August 22, 2008 and since then it has been strictly following the SoO ground rules while refraining from all kinds of unnecessary violence and extortion.
It also said that the KNO/ KRA in its operational areas have always emphasised development of the society at large and does not give any hindrance to the Government's development projects undertaking in the area.
