Successful State Civil Service candidates feted

The successful tribal candidates of the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive Examinations 2013 conducted by Manipur Public Service Commission were feted today at Classic Hotel Imphal.
The All Tribal Students' Union Manipur organised the programme in which IGP Clay Khongsai attended as chief guest and leaders of the KSO, ANSAM and the successful candidates along with their family members were present during the function.
At the function, it was announced that 30 tribal candidates were successful in the MCSCC exam 2013 out of which 10 made it to the MCS, 8 to MPS, 7 to MFS and 5 to SDC respectively.
The announcement added that 4 tribal candidates were among the unreserved general seats while LH Ngathinshin was State topper of Manipur in the said exam.
While giving his welcome address, the president of All Tribal Students' Union Manipur Embroi Serto said that the successful candidates will always inspire the youths and competitive exam aspirants in the future.
He then wished the candidates to serve with sincerity and integrity wherever they have been posted and further added with applause that their good administration will be followed by the tribal people.
Addressing the gathering as chief guest of the function, IGP Clay Khongsai reminded the gathering to recollect God in tranquillity in the time difficulty.
He also mentioned all services are complementary to one another adding that no service is superior or inferior than other service.
The IGP then shared his experience of getting IPS which was conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
Suggesting the students leaders of ATSUM, he appealed them to work in the social issues of drug abuse, HIV and AIDS etc in addition to student related issues but he cautioned them not to opt politics as a profession.
