One Sagolsem Thaba Devi (65), an inmate of the Old Age Home being run by the All Manipur Senior Citizens Welfare Association (AMSCWA), Mongsangei Arubam Ingkhol was diagnosed and operated for ovarian tumour in Raj Medicity (formerly Raj Polyclinic) free of cost.
Speaking to media persons today, Raj Medicity assistant general manager Dinesh Kshetrimayum said that the hospital has been implementing a corporate social responsibility programme at the behest of their managing director Haobijam Rajen.
Under the same CSR programme, helpless and underprivileged patients are being treated in the hospital free of cost.
As a part of the CSR programme, the hospital and the AMSCWA signed an MoU on April 7, 2012 .
Since then, the hospital has been providing free health care facilities to the inmates of the Old Age Home being run by the AMSCWA.
It was in accordance to the MoU and under the hospital's CSR programme that Thaba was treated and operated for ovarian tumour free of cost, Dinesh said.
Raj Medicity CEO Haobijam (O) Sonia said that they would continue with their charitable programme in the coming years too.
