Two held for demanding bribes

Imphal, November 08 2022:
The Vigilance & Anti-Corruption police station, Manipur arrested two persons for allegedly demanding bribes to disburse monthly pension dues.
In a statement, the SP of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption said that the two arrested persons are Moirangthem Binoy Kumar (43) of Singjamei Chingamathak Nameirakpam Leikai and Lalminthang Lotjem (57) of Denglen Village, Saikul.
As per the SP, M Binoy Kumar is a Junior Account Assistant of Imphal Treasury Office while Lalminthang Lotjem is a Drafty of Imphal Treasury cum Assistant Staff of Military Pensioner posted at Imphal Treasury Office.
The case was registered based on a complaint lodged by a pensioner to the Secretary of Public Grievance Redressal and Anti-Corruption Cell at Chief Minister's Secretariat and the same was referred to the SP of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption.
