Winners of State Journalist Award-2022 announced

Imphal, November 08 2022: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations has announced the winners of Manipur State Journalist Award-2022 .

The announcement was made today by Balkrisna Singh, Director, IPR in the presence of the panel of jury and officials of the department at the auditorium of the directorate.

The winners for the 8 award categories are Ningombam Hemantakumar of Sanaleibak Daily for Best Editor Award on National Integration & Communal Harmony; Moirangthem Khagemba Meetei, Reporter of Sanaleibak Daily for Reporting on Public Health & Hygiene; Moirangthem Khagemba Meetei, Reporter of Sanaleibak for Rural Reporting; Robinson Wahengbam, Staff Reporter of Sanaleibak Daily for Reporting on Art & Culture; Taorem Bishwajit Singh, Sub-Editor of Sanaleibak Daily for Parliamentary Reporting; Maibam Kenedy Singh Reporter of Sanaleibak Daily for Science & Technology Reporting; Rabi Takhellambam, Reporter of Sanaleibak Daily for Reporting on Women and Children and Khumukcham Joychand Singh, Sub-Editor of Hueiyen Lanpao for Sports Reporting.

The Manipur State Journalist Award, which was instituted in the year 1994, has been conferred every year to journalists of the State who write/publish commendable news items, reports, features or articles during the previous calendar year.

The awards are to be distributed on National Press Day on November 16 .
