DLOs asked to remain at place of posting

Bishnupur district administration on Tuesday instructed all the district level officers/officials (DLOs) posted in the district to remain stationed at their respective place of posting.
The order issued by Bishnupur additional deputy commissioner Hanjabam Bobby Sharma said the officials hall have to reside in government accommodation in the Sub-Division/Block of their respective posting if available, and in the absence of government accommodation, to stay in rented quarters and seek re-imbursement of the rent subsequently, with rates of rent to be vetted by Finance Department.
The order is in accordance to similar instruction issued by chief secretary (DP) Dr Rajesh Kumar on April 18 advising all the government officials to station at their respective place of posting.
Further, it also ordered that all DLOs and other officials to ensure regular attendance of office and remain within the district jurisdiction.
"If any DLO or other officer/official are required to travel out of their district/sub-division/block of posting, prior permission from the deputy commissioner shall be compulsorily obtained," said the order, adding that if any officers are found absent from their places of posting, it will be immediately brought to the notice of the chief secretary.
All district level officers should also make necessary arrangement for installation of Biometric Attendance System immediately and consult with the director of Information Technology Department for linking data flow to Central Server for regular monitoring at state level.
Counter-signature of the deputy commissioner on all salary bills (Authorisation Slip) of DLOs are to be obtained compulsorily which shall be linked to the attendance recorded in the Biometric Attendance System once it is installed, it added.
