Imphal, September 07 2022:
With reference to student organisations' complaint that Pre & Post Matric ST Scholarship amount of a significant number of students has been drastically reduced compared to the previous year, Tribal Affairs and Hills director Hungyo Worshang on Wednesday clarified that all related fee components and others are entered by respective institution during the time of submission of scholarship application by students.
In a notification, the director advised Institute Nodal Officers of all the institutions in the state as well as those outside the state to make proper entries of all relevant data while undertaking verification of the student 's scholarship applications on the NSP Portal to prevent such discrepancies from happening again in future.
The director further informed the student communities who are applying for ST Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarship that the hostel form submitted by them for claim of allowances must be compulsorily certified by the respective institute head/Head of Department.
Application submitted without Certification by the Institute head/Head of Departments will be rejected, the director cautioned.
