DCPU declares male siblings as abandoned

The District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Imphal East has informed person/persons concerned who can identify their true relationship with three boys, who have been declared abandoned, to stake claim of the said children from the authorities concerned.
In a notification, District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Imphal East protection officer Sushma Elangbam informed that three boys namely, Nawaz (5 and half years), Habib (4 years) and Danish (1 and half years), son of Sanayai and Nazima of Yairipok Changngamdabi Mathak Leikai, Imphal East have been declared as abandoned as per the Child Welfare Committee, Imphal East (CWC), order dated September 6, 2022 and 'GD' entry number has been recorded at the Porompat PS (No 12/PRT-PS/2O22 dated 07/09/2022).The protection officer informed all concerned to make their claim of the said children from the office of the Child Welfare Committee Imphal East located at Kongba Kshetri Leikai, Imphal East, or from the office of the Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA-IE) located at Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal (South), Lane No 5(B), by providing relevant documents as proof to support their identity and their exact relationship with the three children within a period 2 months for Danish and 4 months for Habib and Nawaz with immediate effect.
Failure to do so, the said children will be declared as legally free for adoption and hence processed accordingly as per the provisions of the Adoption Regulations Act, 2017, Sushma informed.
