Wangkhei MLA felicitates Bangladeshi delegation

Imphal, November 24 2022: Wangkhei MLA Th Arunkumar felicitated the 37-member delegation of the Manipuri Cultural Complex, Bangladesh currently in the state to take part in the Manipur Sangai Festival-2022, at his Chingmeirong residence in an event organised jointly by the MLA and Maniwood Club Manipur.

The Bangladeshi cultural team will present classical and folk dances during the Festival, which is being organised by the Tourism Department from November 21 to 30 at different places of the state.

Speaking at the event, MLA Arunkumar assured to extend all possible help to the Bangladeshi cultural team till their stay in the state as well as look into the problems of Meetei community settling in Bangladesh.

During the simple function, Manipuri Cultural Complex, Bangladesh president Jayenta said that flight ticket, accommodation and food for entire members of the delegation are being borne by Manipur government but the delegation is facing some problems due to size of the delegation.

He then urged Manipur Tourism Corporation chairman MLA Karam Shyam to look into the matter and solve the problems at least to some extent.

He then called upon people of Manipur to work collectively for strengthening relation between Meeteis of Bangladesh and Manipur.
