AMHSDA to intensify stir from Nov 26

All Manipur Health Services Doctors' Association (AMHSDA) has announced that it will intensify their on going agitation from November 26 by launching relay hunger strike and taking mass casual leave.
In a release, AMHSDA general secretary Dr Lolee P Mao mentioned that an emergency general body meeting of the Association was held on November 22 at Amity Hall, Adimjati complex, Khongnang Ani Karak.

Association with the government regarding their demands for time bound promotion, raising of superannuation age to 65 years as administrative post for specialists as well as non-specialist doctors, NPA as per central 7th Pay Commission with effect from January 1, 2016, major amendment of proposed MHS Rules 2020, etc., the meeting resolved that two years of inordinate delay in addressing their basic and fundamental rights must be taken as denial of justice.
The GB meeting also took terming of Association's genuine demands as unreasonable, unbecoming and their peaceful demonstration and democratic activities as illegal by Home Department order (November 17), as a very serious matter, threatening and demeaning of the doctors as a whole.
Therefore, it resolved to resume and intensify the on-going agitation from November 26, it conveyed.
