Imphal, November 24 2022:
Federal Students' Organisation, Kangleipak (FESOK) has alleged that a government school teacher, who never reported to work after joining the service, was found working as a guest lecturer in some private schools.
Briefing media persons at its Kakwa Naorem Leikai office on Thursday, FESOK vice president Ronald Kenedy Longjam said that a teacher from Khurai Chingangbam Leikai posted at Wakan Upper Primary school in Saikul AC, Kangpokpi district, was found working as a guest lecturer in some private schools.
The teacher was appointed as a government teacher in 2012.However, he never reported to the school except on the day of joining the post.
Instead, he has been found teaching physics in some reputed private schools of the state as a guest lecturer.
Stating that such irresponsible teachers have rendered the 'School Fagathansi Mission' meaningless, the VP demanded that the teacher be removed from the post immediately, failing which intense agitations would be launched.
He also appealed to private school authorities not to engage government school teachers.
Anyone found doing so will be responsible for any action initiated against them by FESOK, he cautioned.
