Kangpokpi, February 23 2023:
Thadou Students' Association, General Headquarters (TSA-GHQ) lauded chief minister N Biren Singh's prompt action in issuing offer form to the 82 successful candidates recommended by the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) for appointment as MCS/MPS/SDC/MSS/EO as per a notification issued on February 22 .
While appreciating the state government for its pro-activeness, the TSA stated that this will minimise the problems faced by the public due to the shortage of officers in the state arising out of the MCSCCE, 2016 fiasco.
The students' body also reminded the government that the re-examination was conducted in compliance with the Supreme Court order (dated 11-02-2022 passed in SLP(C) No 5680/2021) and urged for strict adherence to the said order pertaining to "continuity of service and consequential benefits" to be given to the candidates who were appointed on the basis of results of the main examination conducted in September, 2016, and got reselected after the re-conducted main examination, 2022 upon being appointed against the posts concerned.
