Addressing the gathering, Shadang elaborated about the importance of Galilee Yaonao and the "Kharur" camp of Hoomi village.
"Galilee Yaonao was a name given to 28 individual of Tangkhul community including general secretary of NSCN IM, Thuingaleng Muivah", said Shadang while adding that in 1973, when the Naga Movement under the banner of Naga National Council (NNC) was in a stalemate, a group of Tangkhuls came to Kharur camp and fasted for 20 days, and on February 23, a vision was prophesied upon them.
"According to the vision, the Tangkhul community is blessed to lead the Naga national movement, bring victory and were chosen to take up the task.
On the same day, 28 of them took the pledge to serve and dedicate their life in defending the motherland and rights of Naga", he asserted.
He continued that after taking the pledge, Muivah left Kharur Camp and the other Naga leaders followed suit, executing their duties in different Naga regions.
"They started the Reformation movement, advocating Naga nationalism in order to strengthen the Naga political movement in all corners of Nagalim.
However, after the NNC signed the Shillong Accord in 1975, Kharur camp was raided by Indian security forces, destroyed the camp and took away arms and ammunition", he added.
Shadang also shared that out of the 28 persons, 6 are still alive and are in active services in spite of their old age.
