AMUCO interacts with Assam Manipuris

In continuation of the visit to Hojai and Lanka and the subsequent interaction held with the Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities settling there on August 9, a team of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMU-CO) went to the villages of Lanka on Friday to further interact with the villagers, at the multipurpose community hall of Lanka Pipul Pukhri.
Volunteers of United Meitei Association Assam (UMAA), Lanka Division, and those hailing from Kati Tongia, Khring Khring (Joysagar), Gosai Gao, Lachitnagar, Aampukhuri and Pipal Pukhri Part-I and II warmly felicitated the AMUCO team.
During the interaction, AMUCO presented traditional attire as gifts to senior members of the villages and prayed for strengthening the blood bond among the Meitei community.
Later, it extended monetary assistance of Rs 20,000 to Laningthou Khoriphaba Haraoba Committee, Pipal Pukhri, while lauding the enthusiasm of the locals towards the Lai Haraoba festival.
Later, Poirei Leimarol Meira Paibi Apunba Manipur and Poirei Leima Nupi Lup, Hojai-Lanka hosted a feast for the AMUCO team at Baluhander village, Lanka and also held discussion on the close relationship among the Manipuris.
AMUCO's visit on Friday was assisted by UMAA, Hojai District advisor Thongam Gunamani and vice president Irengbam Rajen.
