AR units conduct lectures; distribute tricolour

To commemorate 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign as a part of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', Shangshak Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an awareness lecture on Indian national flag at Leimaroi Christian English School, Kasom Khullen in Kamjong district on Friday to make the students understand the importance of our national flag and inculcate the true spirit of nationalism.
The students were also provided a class as per the Flag Code of India.
A total of 90 students, 12 teachers and 10 parents attended the event.
The students were presented with small national flags.
Modi and Phundrei Battalions of IGAR (South) also organised awareness lectures on Indian national flag at N emkhochin Memorial School, Pallel in Tengnoupal district and Phundrei village in Thoubal district on Friday.
A total of 550 students atte nded the Pallel event while 25 villagers attended the lecture at Phundrei.
On the other hand, Khoupum Battalion of IGAR (S) distributed posters and pamphlets at L/Khunou in Noney district on Friday as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and to promote the campaign "Har Ghar Tiranga" .
Meanwhile, Shangshak Battalion of 10 Sector Assam Rifles organised a lecture on drug abuse, under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Friday.
The lecture was conducted for students of Indira Gandhi Hill Flower School and youth of Mongkot Chepu viillage in Ukhrul district to make children and villagers aware about the societal problems due to illegal drugs.
Khoupum Battalion of IGAR (South) also conducted an awareness lecture as part of Nasha Mukht Bharat Abiyan Campaign on drug abuse for locals at Lamdangmei village in Noney district on Friday.
